Hand of Glory:
The Hand of Glory is a magical instrument which appears often in mystic lore. In general, it is described as a severed and preserved human hand, with a candle implanted on it made of the fat from the person who died on the gallows, virgin wax, and Lapland sesame oil - lighted and placed as if in a candlestick in the Hand of Glory. Often specified as being the left hand, or else, if the man were hanged for murder, the hand that "did the deed." Other possible myths say that a hanged man's blood is necessary to the recipe. It is said that the Hand Of Glory has many powers including the ability to immobilize anyone who looks at it, or unlock any door it comes across. It was traditionally used by thieves, since it allowed them to see in otherwise total darkness, open locked doors, and immobilize guards. Draco Malfoy purchased the Hand of Glory which he used to escape the Room of requirements after using Peruvian Instant Darkness Powder to make it impossible for anyone to see him leave the room. Hogwarts:
Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry was founded over a thousand years ago. Four people made it their goal to educate young witches and wizards. These four are, Godric Gryffindor, Rowena Ravenclaw, Helga Hufflepuff, and Slazar Slytherin. They had the same goal to educate young people, but they disagreed on who they were going to educate. Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, and Hufflepuff all decided that anybody that showed magical powers should be educated, but Slytherin disagreed. He believed that only people that showed magical powers and was from a family with magical history should be admitted to the school. Muggles (Non-Wizarding people) should not be admitted in his view. Gryffindor also valued Bravery over all other things. Hufflepuff valued Loyalty, Ravenclaw valued Wisdom, and Slytherin valued Ambition. When these different opinions finally crossed the line, Slytherin left the school, and the other three continued their work.
Hogwarts is home to many ghosts. The four house ghosts are, Sir Nicholas de Mimsy-Porpington for Gryffindor, The Fat Friar for Hufflepuff, The Grey Lady for Ravenclaw, and the Bloody Barron for Slytherin. Each value their house greatly and were in that house when they attended Hogwarts. Some ghosts even have deep backgrounds. Sir Nicholas is known to be found everywhere throughout the school, and always tries to help Gryffindor's in need. The Friar seems to change where he haunts every year, but usually stays where he chooses for that year. The Grey Lady travels around Hogwarts, and seems to be very quiet to everybody but those from her house, who she will help all the time. The Barron likes to hang around the Astronomy Tower.
Hogwarts offers many different subjects for the students to learn in. Some are mandatory and some are elective to take. The class list is, Ancient Runes, Arithmancy, Astronomy, Care of Magical Creatures, Charms, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Divination, Herbology, History of Magic, Muggle Studies, Potions, and Transfiguration. Each class goes into a certain type of magic that is useful for young witches and wizards to learn. More classes may be added with the current Headmaster, as it is up to them and the Ministry of Magic to decide what is important for young magical people to learn.
Hogwarts serves the major purpose of educating young wizards and witches. It is one of the three major schools in Europe to serve this purpose. Each school has different things about it, and Hogwarts is a school there to help young wizards and witches excel in life, and become great people.
Hogwarts is a gigantic castle to all people. It has three tall towers, The Astronomy Tower, Gryffindor Tower, and Ravenclaw Tower. It even has dungeons. It houses Herbology Greenhouses, A Quidditch Pitch (each house has its own team), and part of The Forbidden Forrest lies within the grounds. When a muggle approaches the castle, they will think it is in ruins, and a sign says that it is dangerous. This is one of the many enchantments to keep people out that they do not want in.

Horcrux:
A Horcrux is a very powerful object that has been made dark by a wizard hiding a piece of his or her soul in the item. It allows wizards to become immortal by giving wizards the ability to resurrect themselves if their body is destroyed. The Horcrux was created by Herpo the foul.
The creation of a Horcrux is considered to be the worst deed of Dark Magic. It takes a spell and a ghastly act to create just one Horcrux as well as murder which splits the soul. The wizard then places the piece of his or her soul in an object with another spell. However the final spell is not always necessary as seen by the creation of Voldemort’s sixth Horcrux; Harry Potter. The process makes the wizard’s soul unstable as well as dehumanizes the creator and alters the creator’s appearance.
The only other known creator of Horcruxes is Voldemort whose soul was ripped into 8 pieces. Voldemort hid each piece in an object of significance. His first was a diary that was created with the murder of Moaning Myrtle. The next one was a ring created with the murder of his father Tom Marvolo Sr.
He also used the locket of his ancestor Salazar Slytherin, Helga Hufflepuff’s cup and Rowena Ravenclaw’s ‘lost’ diadem, three of Hogwarts founders. He unintentionally created his seventh Horcrux the night he murdered Lily and James Potter when a piece of his soul latched on to the only living being in the room; Harry Potter.
Voldemort created his last Horcrux when he killed Bertha Jerkins and used Nagini as the ‘object’ in which to hide a piece of his soul. The eighth piece remained in his body. Professor Quirrel also served as a temporary horcux while Voldemort inhabited his body.
Horcruxes can be destroyed by the destruction of the object that holds the soul. It is difficult to destroy a Horcrux and the only known methods of destroying a Horcrux is by administrating basilisk venom into the Horcrux; with Fiendfyre and with the use of the killing spell. The sword of Godric Gryffindor was used to destroy three of Voldemort’s Horcruxes because being goblin made, the sword absorbed the basilisk’s venom when Harry Potter used it to destroy the basilisk in 1992, in the Chamber of Secrets.
