The Reductor Curse:
Incantation: Reducto
This curse is most commonly known to blast solid objects that are either larger or smaller, into much more manageable pieces. The size of those fragments will vary from the force conjured up in the blast.
It is most useful in situations of danger: if trying to escape for instance you may use this spell to destroy any object of power that could stand in your way (boulder, tables, heavy objects, etc).
Although it can be produced also in an everyday lifestyle; from:
Cleaning, cooking, dog-walking (when you need to clean up after them), litter, etc – it is NOT advised by the Ministry of Magic. And any use of the known spell is at the conjurers own fault.
The effects of this curse are like I explained in the above depending solely on the force you personally plunge into it. In Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, for example, it was used by Parvati Patil and Ginny Weasley in the Room of requirement while training in Dumbledore’s army (DA), both of whom displayed a majestic show of power, disintegrating both a table and a Death Eater dueling simulacrum/dummy into coarse black dust!
It is a dangerous spell which is both studied as a curse and a charm. Though is not to be used on living beings, or in an everyday existence if used it will be knowingly at the persons own risk, leaving no fault to officials or others around them.
