Zombies:
A zombie known from in the Harry Potter World is most likely to be related to the species of Inferi (non-plural- Inferius). An inferius is a dead body reanimated by Dark Magic, similar to a zombie – for reasons that neither have a choice of free will, lifeless and empty they live only to serve their masters bidding, both living in a similar daze of life.
It is unknown just what type of magic has made these creatures or if it was magic at all, and they plainly just are. The most we know about them in a Harry Potter point of view is that in the Philosopher’s Stone when Professor Quirrel was quizzed about his turban he had explained a made up fantastical tale that it was gifted to him by an African Prince for ridding him of a troublesome zombie.
Although it is now commonly known that it was Voldermort who'd given it to him; and only to cover the fact he had two faces instead of one, but I guess we could see that from the start.
In my personal opinion if they were made with a type of magic it would be similar/or somewhat the same to that of the Inferi, it is still to this day un-known of any factual relation of each other.
